Welcome to Sip (“Sip & Stumble” and “Sip & Nibble”). These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, service agreements, and website use for our mobile bar, coffee, and catering services. By submitting a booking enquiry or confirming a service with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings & Deposits
A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a written confirmation email from us and payment of the agreed deposit or booking fee. The standard booking deposit secures your date and is non-refundable, as it reserves equipment and staffing exclusively for your event.
2. Alcohol Licensing & Challenge 25 Policy
Sip & Stumble operates strictly in compliance with the UK Licensing Act 2003:
- Challenge 25: We enforce a strict Challenge 25 policy at all events. Anyone who appears under 25 will be asked to present valid proof of age (UK Photocard Driving Licence, Passport, or PASS accredited hologram ID).
- Refusal of Service: Our trained bar staff reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to any individual who is underage, unable to provide valid ID, or showing signs of excessive intoxication or abusive behaviour.
- Licensing Approvals: Where required, we will arrange Temporary Event Notices (TENs) or work within the venue’s existing premises licence. If a TEN is rejected by local authorities due to venue-specific council limits, we will work with you to adjust plans.
3. Venue Access, Power & Site Requirements
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the event site meets basic operational safety requirements:
- A level, firm ground surface (minimum 4m × 3m area) with clear vehicle access for our converted horsebox setup.
- Informed venue permission for our mobile unit to enter and operate on site.
- Access to a standard 13A mains power socket where requested (we arrive self-sufficient for shorter events, but require power for extended runs).
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Client Cancellation: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the event date will incur no further fees beyond the non-refundable booking deposit. Cancellations within 30 days of the event date may be subject to a percentage of the total agreed booking quote to cover committed staffing and stock costs.
- Rescheduling: We will accommodate date changes where possible, subject to vehicle and staff availability.
5. Liability & Insurance
Sip & Stumble and Sip & Nibble carry full Public Liability Insurance and hygiene certifications. We are not liable for event interruptions caused by severe weather events, power failures beyond our control, or failure of the client to provide suitable site access.
